Organization with deep ties to School District of Philly personnel runs "revolutionary education" workshop at Swarthmore "pro-Palestine" encampment
Ismael Jimenez, Director of Social Studies Curriculum for the School District of Philadelphia, is on W.E.B Du Bois Movement School for Abolition and Reconsruction "Advisory Board"
Swarthmore students are in the news again for re-establishing a “student encampent” on college grounds.
(note the Hamas triangle - very subtle)
And the Keffiyeh cosplayers have support from the Philadelphia-based W.E.B. Du Bois Movement School for Abolition and Reconstruction.
The Abolition School has been previously covered in this Substack because Ismael Jimenez, the Director of Social Studies Curriculum for the School District of Philadelphia, sits on the Abolition School’s Advisory Board. Jimenez’s wife is on the Board of the School’s fiscal sponsor - the Abolitionist Law Center.
The Substack most recently reported that the School was initially listed as participating in an event with Samidoun - a designated terror entity. That participation was later edited to remove mention of the school although members of the School took part in the event.
Here is the School’s instagram account referring to the Swarthmore Students for Justice in Palestine as “comrades.”
And here is the Abolition school urging its followers to join the encampment on Swarthmore college grounds:
So the Abolition School, which seemingly has no qualms about its members sharing a stage with Samidoun - a designated terror entity, held a “conversation” with these student “activists” on “revolutionary education”
As an added bonus, the Abolition school follows and is followed by Keziah Ridgeway - the SDP teacher who was briefly removed from the classroom following allegations she has threatened Jewish parents on her social media. Ridgeway uses her instagram to communicate directly with her current students.
So to summarize - an organization affiliated with School District of Philadelphia Employees, notably Ismael Jimenez and Keziah Ridgeway, is actively supporting the Swarthmore student encampment including running a “workshop” on “revolutionary education.” This same organization recently had one of its “teachers” take part in an event with a designated terror entity - Samidoun.
One has to ask whether the powers that be at SDP are aware of the ties that Jimenez has to the Abolition School and if so what will they do about it?
