Impact Hub Baltimore hosting extreme anti-Israel activist who will give workshops for educators and activists to bring Gaza into the classroom
Abeer Ramadan-Shinnawi will hold two workshops helping teachers "bring global narratives" to the classroom
Abeer Ramadan-Shinnawi, of Altair Education Consulting, in collaboration with Impact Hub Baltimore, is hosting the “Gaza Remains the Story” exhibit from the Palestinian Muslim.
Shinnawi, no stranger to this substack, is the founder of Altair Education Consulting which runs professional development and curriculum development workshops for educators.
Impact Hub Baltimore claims that its mission is “to support a community of innovators and entrepreneurs to scale and sustain their initiatives. Our inspiring workspace and innovative programming build the connections and skills people need to grow and thrive. Together, we are building an innovative local economy that advances equity and civic wealth.”
Impact Hub Baltimore claims that “changes systems” and “drive[s] civic wealth” by connecting people who want to “advance change” in areas including education and in social justice.
So let’s see how it’s doing that by inviting Shinnawi to run a workshop for educators.
Here is a post Shinnawi uploaded to her instagram after October 7th, 2023:
And here she is mourning the death of the architect of October 7th, the terrorist Yahya Sinwar
Using the Palestinian Museum’s “Gaza Remains the Story” exhibition, Shinnawi will offer a two part workshop on January 18th and 25th for educators and activists to learn about how to “bring meaningful global narratives into your classroom.”
Attendees will receive a “Gaza resource toolkit” of lesson plans and discussion guides for the classroom.
What is the content of this planned workshop:
And what is the content of the “Gaza Remains the Story” exhibition? As you can imagine, it is filled with one-sided narrative, historical inaccuracies and whitewashing of terrorism.
The themes of the exhibition are: Art and Culture, Wars on Gaza, Historical Context and International solidarity.
Notice the framing here - “wars on Gaza”, including the brutal Intifada of 2000 - the wars and massacres “resulting from Israeli aggression.”
And here’s a look inside the exhibition, courtesy of the Palestinian Museum:

Is this the social change that Impact Hub Baltimore wishes to drive?
Is this the kind of material teachers should be including in their classrooms - one-sided, ahistorical and which not only whitewashes but celebrates terror?
Teachers should not use the classroom for their political activism. Period.
Y'all don't have nothing else to do but give Abeer free advertising for her workshops?
This looks like it will be an amazing worship!
